Gratitude for my local coffee shop.

The transition to working from home has been hard for this extrovert. Enough that it made me go back to work in a position where I was overqualified and under appreciated.

Don’t worry, It didn’t last long.

I find myself back at the home office working full time to add to the greater good in ways that are dear to my heart.

However, I miss people. To fulfill this need, I find myself as a coffee shop frequent.

The things I appreciate about this location:

The sunshine from the many windows.

The mostly perfect temperature.

The ability to choose my location each day.

The free refills on my favorite beverage.

The sense of purpose from those around me.

The distraction of people watching.

The depth of conversation with once strangers-some days shallow and other days perfectly deep.

The smell of my clothing after working for hours.

The ease of my workplace.

Becoming a regular.

Thank you for the escape. The motivation. The understanding. The laughter and the tears experienced in the corner of your thriving business. I watch you and appreciate the support. Your small table that allows me to explore and create everything that I need.

While you serve coffee every day, you also serve my soul. So much appreciation.
